F1 Central ("the app") is an independent application that displays publicly available motorsport data. Your privacy matters, and this policy explains — briefly, because there isn't much to explain — how the app handles data.
Data we collect
None. The app does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal information. There are no user accounts, no sign-in, no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking of any kind.
Data stored on your device
The app caches race data (schedules, standings, and results) locally on your device so it can load quickly and work with a poor connection. This information stays on your device, is never sent to us, and is removed when you delete the app.
Where data comes from
Race data is retrieved from the public Jolpica-F1 API (a successor to the Ergast API). When the app fetches this data, your device makes a standard network request to that service. We do not control that third party; its own handling of network requests is governed by its policies.
Notifications
If you enable race reminders, notifications are scheduled locally on your device. No information leaves your device to make this work.
Children's privacy
The app does not collect information from anyone, including children.
